Not only did I get lost twice in the law school today, I also got my ID card and schedule. Wooohooo. I’m not sure if it’s good or bad. The schedule, that is. Well, it’s not bad. Some people ended up with no class on Friday’s. I am not one of those people. Those people, however, have class until 4:20 pm three days a week. Blah. My latest class is done at 2:25 and is only twice a week. Yea for me.
So here it is:
Monday
8:30 - 9:55..........Crim Law
10:00 - 11:20......Contracts
Tuesday
8:30 - 9:55..........Crim Law
10:00 - 11:20......Contracts
Wednesday
8:40 - 9:55..........Torts
10:00 - 11:20......Contracts
1:00 - 2:25..........Civ Pro
Thursday
8:40 - 9:55..........Torts
10:00 - 11:55......Legal Writing
1:00 - 2:25..........Civ Pro
Friday
8:40 - 9:55..........Torts
Friday looks good. Monday and Tuesday look OK. Wednesday looks dubious. Thursday seems fine. All in all, I am pleased. I also went book shopping. I left 625 bucks poorer and 150 lbs heavier. Good grief, the books. I lugged the bastards back to my car, after which I could no longer feel my fingers. The book store was kind enough to give law students a free tote bag, which seemed to be made of paper. The weight of the books made the straps dig into your hands in such an exhilarating manner.
I got lunch and went home to look over my haul. I was looking through the reading assignments posted by one prof and noticed that I had managed to miss a book at the book store. Simply wonderful - I was going to have to go back and get it. I went back, found parking, walked to the bookstore, climbed the stairs and couldn’t find the damn book. A helpful book store employee kindly informed me that the book was a university print item and was not yet available - indicated by the clearly posted 2 inch post-it note sign in the 1st year book area. Well, shit. All that for nothing. Now, I’ll have to make ANOTHER damn trip to the bookstore next week. I also spent another $100 while there on recommended supplements and a sweatshirt. I’m most pleased with the sweatshirt.
So, for now, I am temporarily off the hook for the Contracts reading, but have 29 pages of Torts to keep me company this weekend. I need to find a bar. Soon.
Good luck on finding that bar, I think you might need it!!!

I have a dubious wednesday schedule too - four classes! Ugh.
I also left my bookstore with $600 dollars worth of damage and two books short. Oh yeah, passed on the sweatshirt, but grabbed a hat.
And haven't found the bar, but the fridge is fully stocked!

I was going to go for the sweatpants with stuff written on the butt - to help eliminate people from sitting next to me in class...but ;)
